Train Services In Northern Railway Line Have Been Disrupted Due To A Derailment

Train services in the Northern Railway

line are being disrupted between Saliyapura in Anuradhapura and Parasangaswewa Railway stations due to a derailment of a Train travelling from Jaffna to Beliatta area  occurred this noon(14) at Saliyapura .

No casualties had been reported due to the derailment of a Train compartment it has been reported.

Due to this situation Train Services have been restricted in the Northern Railway line from Jaffna to Parasangaswewa and Saliyapura to Beliatta according to the  Railways department .

Reparing of the damaged rail tracks due to the derailment is currently underway Railways Department has stated.
