A Female Was Killed And Five Others Injured Due To A Road Accident

A 48 year old female had been killed and five persons had been injured and hospitalized after

the Van theywere  travelling in colliding with a Fuel Bowser at Arachchikattuwa area on Puttalam-Colombo  main road in the wee hours of this morning (13).

The injured including the Driver of the Fuel Bowser had been admitted to the Chilaw Base Hospital for treatment .

The deceased had been identified as a 48 year old female resided in Wellawatte area.

The incident occurred as the driver of the Van not been able to control the speed of the vehicle and as a result it collided with the Fuel Bowser .At the Time of the incident the group of persons in the Van on the way home after attending a function held in Jaffna it has been revealed .

A Private Bank Building Had Caught Fire Due To A Lightning

A Private Bank Building in Kaduwela had caught fire last night (12) due to a Electric Meter of

it hit by a lightning according to sources.

Kaduwela Police along with the residents of the area had doused the fire before spreading it further.

No casualties had been reported due to t he incident and the estimated value of the damage occurred due to the fire had not yet been revealed. 

Three Persons Injured Due To Three Wheeler -Lorry Collision

Three persons including a small child

had been injured and hospitalized after the Three wheeler they were travelling in colliding with a Small lorry at Molagoda in Kegalle on Colombo-Kandy main road today(13).

The injured had been admitted to Kegalle Base Hospital for trearment .

The incident occurred when the Three wheeler had attempted to overtake a small lorry and as a result colliding with another small lorry arrived in front it has been revealed .

A Three Wheeler Caught Fire On Batticaloa-Polonnaruwa Main Road

A running Three Wheeler had been

reduced to ashes  after a sudden fire near manampitiya bridge on Batticaloa -Polonnaruwa main road last night(12).

No casualties was reported due to the imcident and the  Three Wheeler driver had managed to escape umharmed

The cause behind the fire has not yet been revealed.
