The funeral of Veteran Musician Late

H.M.Jayawardana who had passed away few days ago has been held at Borella Cemetry this evening (10) with the participation of Artists and family members .

Late H.M Jayawardana had composed Music to nearly 1000 classical songs including film songs .He was the husband of popular Sri Lankan Singer late visharada Malani Bulathsinghala and father of Singer Kasun Kalhara.

Fuel Price Committee Has Decuded Not To Increase Fuel Prices

The Committee which deciding   the

Fuel prices has decided this evening (10)not to imcrease the Fuel prices although the Crude oil prices in the world market had been increased ,In view of the forthcoming Sinhala/Hindu New Year festival.

The committee which met today at the Ministry Of Finance has stressed that in view of providing concessions to the consumers during forthcoming festive season ,it has decided not to increase   the fuel Price's.

According to the Price formula introduced on  Fuel ,Prices of fuel are due to increase or decrease based on world market prices on 10th of every month .

Ministry Of Health To Distribute 138 "Ford" And "Benz" Ambulances Amongst Hospitals

Ministry Of Health is scheduled to be

distributed 138 Modern "Ford' and 'Benz" Ambulances among Government Hospitals tomorrow morning (11)at Colombo Municipal Council  Grounds under the patronage of Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne .
Accordingly 118 "Ford" Ambulances and 20 "Benz"Ambulances are scheduled to be distributed amongst selected  hospitals .

In an earlier occasion 152   "Ford" and "Benz" Ambulances have been distributed among Government Hospitals .  Altogether around 450 Modern Ambulances are due to be distributed amongst Government Hospitals according to the Ministry .

A Lorry Driver Received Minor Injuries Due To An Accident In Southern Expressway

A Lorry driver had received minor

injuries after the Lorry he had driven transporting Liquid Milk from Matara to Didangoda in Southern Expressway crashed in to the security fence of the Southern Expressway and toppled over the road today(10).

Due to the incident road between Galanigama to Dodangida in Southern Expressway had been closed down around half snd hour for traffic  it has been revealed.

The incident occurred as a wheel of the rare part of Lorry had exploded and crashed in to the security fence of Southern Expressway .
