Government Executives To Withdraw From Development Activities From 16 Th

Around 35,000 Governnment Executive
Officers attached to All Island and Similar services have decided to withdraw from Government Development activities including from District and Provincial Development Committees from 16 th of April by demanding solutions for five of their demands .

Accordingly Government Executive officers will launch this trade union action by demanding solutions for five  of their service demands according to Government Executives Joint Committee .However essential services of  the government sector will be functioned normally as usual during the strike period the Union has stated.  

Government Nurses ,PSM's And Paramedics To Strike Tomorrow (08)

All government hospital nurses
,Professions On Supplementary To Medicine (PSM's  )and Para Medical.Officers are scheduled to be launched a One day Island Wide token strike from 7 a.m tomorrow(08) to 7 a
m on Tuesday (09)by demanding solutions for 10 of their service demands .

During the strike period issuance of Drugs from OPD Clinics in Government Hospitals,Performing  of X -Rays ,Scans ,Lab Tests including Blood and urine  tests , ,Occupational Therapy will not happened according to Nurses ,PSM's And Para Medics Joint Confederation .

However strike will not implemented in Castle Street Womens ,De Soyza Womens ,Lady Ridgway Children's Maharagama Apeksha and Accident service in Colombo National Hospital due to humanitarian reasons  Convener of the Confederation Saman Ratnapriya has stated .

The 10 Service demands which caused tomorrow's strike includes minimise the Service period of Nurses ,PSM's  and Paramedics  when granting promotions and solving salary anomalies he has stressed .

Electricity Board Engineers To Report As On Leave And Gather At BMICH Tomorrow (08)Morning

All  Engineers attached to the Ceylon 
Electricity Board(CEB) are due to report as on leave tomorrow (08)and gather at BMICH (Bandaranaike International Memorial Conference Hall)  at 9.30 a.m to  participate a special meeting of Enginerrs Union it has been announced.

Salary cut off of CEB Engineers  and power crisis are scheduled to be discussed during the meeting according to Engineers Union .
