A Large Area Of Land Had Been Destroyed Due To A Fire At A Reserve In Ella

More than 20 acres of land belonging to
a Pinus cultivation reserve at Kumbukwela in Ella area had been destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted in the reserve today (05)it has been reported.

The fire in the reserve is spreading rapidly due to the dry weather condition and strong winds prevailing in the area and as a result some valuable tree varieties in the reserve had destroyed already according to reports.

Even a water pump system restored in the area to get water had been completely destroyed due to the fire sources have stated.Police believes an individual or a group of persons might have lit the fire .

A STF Police Constable Had Committed Suicide AT A Police Post In Temple Trees

A 30 Year old  Special Police Task Force Police Constable attached to the Police post in Prime
Minister's official residence "Temple Trees "in Colombo had committed suicide this morning (04) by shot at him from his official firearm it has been reported.

The deceased who was attached to the Police post near Micheal Junction in Temple Trees had shot at him inside the police post it has been revealed .He was a resident of Godayagama,Wwarakapola area and his body had been sent to Colombo National Hospital for post mortem.

The cause behind the suicide has not yet been revealed .

A Person Was Arrested With Rs.75,000 Worth Foreign Currency Notes

A 51 Year old person had been arrested with a stock of fake Sri Lankan currency notes worth
around Rs.75,000 at Tangalle Town today(04) by the Police  officers attached To Tangalle Anti Corruption Unit 

Police have taken into  custody  10 fake Rs.5000 currency notes and  50 fake Rs.500 notes The suspect is a resident of Kaduriupokuna in Tangolle area and due to e produced before court .
