A Sudden Fire Had Erupted In Pettah

A sudden fire had erupted at Dam Street ,Pettah this noon (04) due to an exploding of a

Electric Transformer it has been reported.

Colombo Fire Services Department has managed to douse the fire before spreading it further, No casualties have been reported due to the incident ..

Three Government Doctors Including A Female Doctor Had Caught Whilst Engaged In Private Practice In Duty Hours

The special Imvestigations Unit of the

Ministry Of Health had caught Three Government Doctors including a Female Doctor whilst engaged in Private practice during working hours of their hospitals at Mawanella,Walapane and Kosgoda areas recently according to the Health Ministry.

Accordingly Special Investigations Unit officials have caught a Doctor attached to Mawanella District Hospital whilst doing private practice in Mawanella Private Medical Center in the morning,A Female Doctor attached to Walapane District Hospital whilst engaged in a Private Medical Center in
Walapne and another Doctor attached to Kosgoda Central dispensary whilst doing private practice in working hours at a Kosgoda Medical center.

An inquiry is currently being held against these three doctors and Health Ministry is planning to issue charge sheets for them and inform on them to the Public Services Commission .

Gazette Notification On Displaying Sugar,Salt And Fat Content In Sweet Products To Be Issued Next Week

The Gazette Notification regarding displaying sugar,Salt and fat content of sweet products including Biscuits will be issued next week according to Minister of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratna .
The Gazette Noitification was scheduled to be issued on 02nd of April ,However due to the delay of translation work it was not issued as planned Health Minister has stressed .

Soon after issuing it displaying Sugar,Salt and fat content on the wrappers of sweet products issued to the local market by using traffic light system will be compulsory he has stressed.
