Around 12 Passengers Had Been Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Bus Collision

Around 12 Passengers had been injured two of them critically and hospitalized after a Sri
Lanka Transport Board(SLTB) Bus and a Private Bus they were travelling in colliding with each other in Bangadeniya Junction on Colombo-Puttalam road thsi morning (31).

The injured had been admitted to Chilaw District Hospital for treatment .The incident occurred when the Private Bus travelling from Mannar to Colombo had collided with the rare part  of   Sri Lanka Transport Board bus travelling from Vavuniya to Colombo parked in Bangadeniya Junction .

Motor Traffic division of the Chilaw Police have arrested the two Bus drivers regarding the accident .

A few Acres Of Land In A Reserve Nearby Sripadha Had Been Destroyed Due To A Sudden Fire

Few acres of land belonging to a Forest Cultivation located near Sripadha Reserve in
Nallathanniya area had been destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted  in the reserve this morning (31) it has been reported.

The fire is spreading rapidly in the reserve due to the dry weather conditions and strong winds prevailing in the area and as a result attempts made by Police officers attached to Nallathanniya Police Station ,Army personal attached to Maussakale Army Base ,Special Police Task Force Personal ,Wild Conservation Officers and Grama Seva Niladharis (Rural Services Officers)  had failed according to sources.

Authorities have requested the assistance of Sri Lanka Air force to douse the fire  .

Sri Lanka Cricket Board To Hold An Inquiry Against Sri Lankan Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne Over Drunken Driving

Sri Lanka  Cricket Board has decided to hold an inquiry against Sri Lankan Test Cricket 
Captain Dimuth Karunaratne over Driving  his vehicle under the influence of liquor and caused an accident this morning (31) according to the Cricket Board.

Cricket Board has decided  to hold the inquiry against Cricketer Karunaratne under the Cricket Contract agreement signed by him with the Cricket Board it has been announced.

The Test Cricket Captain who lead the Sri Lankan National Cricket Team to 2-0 win against the Test Series held with South Africa in that country recently had driven his Motor Car under the influence of Liqour and the vehicle had collided with a Three Wheeler in the Horton Place junction in Kynsey Road ,Borelle this morning (31).

The Three Wheeler driver had been injured and admitted to Colombo National Hospital  due to the indent .

Dimuth Karunaratne had been arrested by the Borella Police following the incident and later released on police bail .He was asked to appear before the Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court number 07 tomorrow morning (01).

Sri Lankan Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne Had Been Arrested Over A Road Accident -Later Released On Police Bail


Image result for dimuth karunaratneThe newly appointed Sri Lankan Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne had been arrested by the Borella Police this morning (31) after the Motor Car he was driving in under the influence of liquor colliding with a Three Wheeler in the wee hours of this morning  at Horton place junction in Kynsey Road, Borella .


As a result of the accident Three Wheeler driver had been injured and admitted to Colombo National Hospital for treatment .

Borella Police have arrested the Cricketer soon after the incident which occurred around 5.15 a.m this morning and conformed he has driven the vehicle under the influence of Liquor .

Some  reports say  that Dimuth Karunaratne was released on police bail .He was asked to appear  before Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court tomorrow morning (01) by the Police .

Law should be equal to everyone  no matter the class and status of a  person .
