Sri Lankan Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne Had Been Arrested Over A Road Accident -Later Released On Police Bail
The newly appointed Sri Lankan Test Cricket Captain Dimuth Karunaratne had been arrested by the Borella Police this morning (31) after the Motor Car he was driving in under the influence of liquor colliding with a Three Wheeler in the wee hours of this morning at Horton place junction in Kynsey Road, Borella .As a result of the accident Three Wheeler driver had been injured and admitted to Colombo National Hospital for treatment .
Borella Police have arrested the Cricketer soon after the incident which occurred around 5.15 a.m this morning and conformed he has driven the vehicle under the influence of Liquor .
Some reports say that Dimuth Karunaratne was released on police bail .He was asked to appear before Hulftsdorf Magistrate Court tomorrow morning (01) by the Police .
Law should be equal to everyone no matter the class and status of a person .
