Around 3200 Cannabis Plants Had Been Destroyed During A Raid


The estimated value of the Cannabis plants that had been destroyed  is around Rs. 4 million it has been revealed.

Image result for cannabisWild Life Officers attached to Wasgamuwa Reserve have raided a 1.5 acre Cannabis cultivation in Sudukanda area, Wasgamuwa  and destroyed around 3200 Cannabis plants in the cultivation last evening (29).

Three Persons Has Been Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin

Special Police Task Force (STF) Personal had arrested three persons with around 109 
Grammes of Heroin in possession at Kothalawalapura in Rathamalana last evening (29) .

One of the suspects has been identified as an aide of an Underworld Gang Member "Ratmalane Manju"

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken in to custody is around Rs.one million it has been revealed.

Two Persons Had Been Killed And Another Injured Due To The Van-Oil Bowser Collision

Two persons including a female  had been killed and another was   injured and hospitalized
after the Van they were travelling in colliding with a Oil Bowser at Mamunuwa area on Wariyapola-Puttalam road today (30).

Three of the critically injured persons including the Van driver had  been admitted to the Wariyapola Hospital for treatment and a female had succumbed to her injuries after admission it has been revealed.The driver who had been transferred to Kurunagala Teaching Hospital for further treatment along with other injured female had succumbed to his injuries before admission .

The deceased and the injured female had been identified as residents of Ambanpola area .

Wariyapola Police have arrested the Bus driver regarding the incident .
