Galle Magistrate Jailed 14 Chinese Nationals Who Had Been Arrested Over illegally Staying Here For One Year

Kekunawala has yesterday (14) sentenced 14 Chinese Nationals arrested whilst working as helpers at a Building Construction site in Dadella ,Galle adter arriving in sti lanka with tourist visas, one year prison sentence each and fined them Rs.50,000 each.
The 14 suspects had been arrested by Galle police on 02nd of March .Afterwards they had been remanded until yesterday (14).The suspects were sentenced one year imprisonment after being produced before Galle Magistrate court yesterday .
If the suspects failed to pay the fine they will receive an extra month imprisonment court has ordered.
