Second Reading Of The Budget -2019 Had Been Passed With Majority Of 43 Votes
Second Reading of the 2019 Budget had been passed with a majority of 43 votes as 119 voted
in favor and 76 voted against it during the vote held this evening (12) in Parliament.
MP's belonging to governing United National Party(UNP) ,Tamil National Alliance (TNA) ,Sri Lanka Muslim Congress(SLMC) and MP Arumugam Thondaman along with MP Muttu Sivalingam attached to Ceylon Workers Congress had voted in favor of the second reading of the Budget whilst MP 's oi United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena along with leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP) had voted against the Budget.
Eight MP's including the secretary of UPFA Mahinda Amaraweera ,Secretary of Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) Dayasiri Jauasekare and rebel UNP MP's Asoka Priyantha and Wijedasa Rajapakshe were absent during the voting.
The third reading debate of the 2019-Budget which presented to the Parliament by finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera on 05th of March will begin tomorrow(13) and scheduled to be held until 05 th of April .

Musician Jananath Wwarakagoda Had Been Arrested And Remanded Over A Road Accident
Musician Jananath Warakagoda the son of Veteran Popular Actor and Singer Wijerathna had been arrested by the Kadawatha Police this morning (12) due to a 68 female being killed after colliding with his Motor Car this morning at a Pedestrian Crossing in Kirillawala ,Kadawatha .
The deceased has faced this incident when she was crossing the road at the Pedestrian Crossing where the Motor Car driven by the Musician Jananath Warakagoda ran over her. The critically injured female had succumbed to her injuries on admission to Ragama Teaching Hospital it has been revealed.
The deceased was a resident of Kadawatha area.
The suspected Musician had been remanded until 18th of March after producing before the Mahara Magistrate Court .

Accordance to Engine Drivers Union ,The trade union action will be launched by demanding solutions for demands including solving salary anomalies and lodging problems.

More Than 20 Acres Of Land At A Reserve In Koslanda Had Been Destroyed Due To A Fire
More than 20 acres of land belonging to
a reserve at Koslanda,Bandarawela had been destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted there this noon(12).
Police along with Disaster Management Center officisls are currently engaged in dousing the fire.
The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.However authorities believes a group of persons might have lit the fire in view of hunting animals .
