Around 10 Acres Of Land At Ihala Watawala In ,Hatton Had Been Destroyed Due To A Fire

Around 10 acres of land belonging to a Pinus Cultivation reserve at Ihala Watawala in Hatton

had been destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted there today (15).

The fire had been erupted near the Ihala Watawala Railway station it has been revealed.Wwild Conservation officers along with the villagers of the area are currently engaged in dousing the fire .

Authorities believed a group of persons might have lit the fire and it spreads rapidly due to the dry weather prevailing in the area.

A Female Was Killed After Colliding With A Train

A 82 year old female had been killed after colliding with the "Udarata Manike" express train

travelling from Colombo Fort to Badulla this morning (15) near the Magalagoda Rsilway stations between Gampaha and Veyangoda Railway stations it has been reported.

Veyangoda Police have suspected the female may have jumped in front of a train and committed suicide as a letter written by her found near the body .

The deceased had been identified as a resident of Magalegoda area.The cause of the death has not yet been revealed.
