A 46 Year Old Person Was Arrested With A Haul Of Cannabis

A 46 year old person had been arrested

with around 4 Kilo Grammes of Cannabis in possession at Mahalanda in Koslanda area (Uva) yesterday (26) by the Koslanda Police .

The suspect who is a resident of Dehilanda area is due to be produced before Bandarawela Magistrate Court .

Three "AVA" Group Members Had Been Arrested Over A Crime

Investigation Unit of Jaffna Division have arrested three members of the Sword group "Ava" over injuring two persons by attacking from a sword near a Kovil in Jaffna on 15 th of January .

Two Swords the suspects have used for the crime had been also taken in to custody in possession of the suspects and produced before Jaffna Police for further investigations .

The three suspects who are of the ages 19,23, and 25 years old and residents of Manippay and Arumalkudam areas had been produced before Jaffna Magistrate Court today (27)and remanded until tomorrow (28)for an identification parade it has been reported .
