Central Bank Bond Scam Suspect Arjun Aloysius Has Submitted A Motion To Court Seeking To Name Two Senior Central Bank Officers As Bond Scam Suspects
The owner of the Perpetual Treasuries Limited and one of the chief suspect's of Central Bank
Bond Scam Arjun Aloysius who is now on bail had today (24) submitted a Motion to Colombo Magistrate Court requesting to name Senior Deputy Governor of the Central Bank Nandalal Weerasinghe and Retired Deputy Governor Ananda Silva as suspects of the Central Bank Bond Scam .
The Motion was submitted before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne by the lawyers of Arjun Aloysius and they have informed the Magistrate that even the Presidential Commission inquire into Central Bank Bond Scam has named Nandalal Wweerasinghe and Ananda Silva had been responsible on the Bond Scam issue through the Commissions recommendations .Auditor General too had stated through a statement made to the Presidential Commission that those two officers attached to Central Bank were responsible for the Bond scam.
Therefore the lawyers of Arjun Aloysius had requested the Magistrate to issue a court order to name those two senior Central Bank Officers as suspects of the Bond Scam issue.
After considering the Motion Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne has informed the lawyers of Arjun Aloysius that this motion should be considered with the presence of an Investigative offices and therefor submit the motion again to the court on next court date of the Bond scam issue on 25th of February .

Seven South Eastern University Students Arrested Over Taking Photos On Ruins Of Kiralagala Stupa Had Been Remanded
Kabithigollawa Magistrate has today
(24)ordered to Remand the seven students attached to South Eastern University who had been arrested over taking photographs of themselves by standing on ruins of Kiralagala Sthupa at Horowpathana atea and releasing them to social media ,until 05 th of February .
The suspected students who are final year Engineering students had been arrested yesterday (23)by the police over the charges of taking photographs by standing on ruins of stupa and releasing them to social media and insulting Stupa.
They had been remanded by Kabithigollawa Magistrate Malinda Alwish after being produced before the court today .

Two Females Had Been Killed Due To A Road Accident
Two females had been killed and four
others had been critically injured and Hospitalized after a Van they were travelling in.veering off the road and crashed into a Tree at 19 th Post in Karawilakotuwa, on Buttala -Kataragama road last evening (23) .
The injured had been admitted to Buttala Provincial Hospital where two females has succumbed to their injuries on last night and this morning (24)..Other four injured persons had been later transferred to MonaRagala General Hospital for further teatment .
The van is travelling from Buttala to Kataragama at the time of the incident.
One of the deceased had been identified as a 61 year old female resided in Karawilakotuwa area and four injured persons are residents of Passara area .

A Sudden fire erupted at
Bopaththalawa Mountain in Agarapathana area this evening (24)is spreading rapidly towards the Bopaththalawa reserve it has been reported .
The fire is spreading rapidly due to the dry weather and strong winds prevailing in Western slope areas of Central hills these days
Authorities believes the fire which erupted at the western end of Agarapathana Mountain near Government dairy farm,might have caused due to a lit of fire by a person or a group .
No one has intervene in dousing the fire up to now it has been reported .
