Sri Lankan Box Office Hit Yesteryear Film "Sujatha "To Be Screened Again After 66 Years

To mark the 72 nd Anniversary of

Sinhala Cinema one of the most popular yesteryear  Films in the Sri Lankan Cinema History "Sujatha " screened on 26 th of June 1953 and became a Box office hit ,is due to be screened again island wide from 21 st of January.

The 19th Sinhala Films of the history "Sujatha "has been modified with Digital technology to screen again due to the problems of sounds In the film according to reports. The film has been Digitally modified at Movie Lab in India.

The main cast of the film were Late Florida Jayalath ,Prem Jayanth,Dommy Jayawardana and Shanthi Leka .Film was produced by K.Gunaratnam and directed by T. R.Sundaram.

IGP Has Ordered To Grant Promotions To 26 Chief Police Inspectors

Jayasundara has today (18) ordered to promote 26 Chief Police Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent Of Police under the instructions of National Police Commission (NPC).

The promotions are being given accordance to an agreement reached with a group of Chief Police Inspectors who had filed a fundemental rights petition at Supreme Court by complaining  Their promotions  had  been halted.

Police Department has listed the names of another 12 Chief Police Inspectors for future promotions it has been revealed.

Two Youth Had Been Killed Due To Motorcycle -Truck Collision

Two youth had been killed after the

Motorcycle they were riding in colliding with a truck arrived in front side at Vetiya Road in Agunakola palassa this evening (18).

The deceased youth were of the ages 15 and 24 it has been revealed.

Police have arrested the Truck driver regarding the incident.
