Two Teenagers Had Been Killed On The Spot Due To Motorcycle-Tipper Collision

Two Teenagers Had Been killed  and another had been critically injured and hospitalized after
the Motorcycle they were riding  in colliding with a Tipper Truck at Dalukana area in Dimbulagala this morning (15).  

The deceased had been killed on the spot and the third Teenager had been injured and admitted to Polonnaruwa Base Hospital it has been revealed.

The incident occurred when the Motorcyclist had attempted to overtake a Private Bus travelling in the same route as he had not been able to control the speed of the Motorcycle it collided with the Tipper Truck arrived in from the opposite direction according to Police.The Motorcycle had run over by the Private Bus after the incident .

The Tipper Truck had fled away from the scene after the incident according to Aralaganwila Police.

Three Teenagers of the ages 16,17 and 18  had faced this incident .

A Body Of A Wild Elephant Had Been Recovered In A Land At Sigiriya

A Body of a Wild Elephant Who had been killed due to Electrocution had been recovered at a
Private Land in Mahasengama ,Sigiriya Yesterday (14).

The deceased Elephant had faced this incident when he entered the Land in search of food it has been revealed.

Police have arrested the Land Owner who was responsible for laying Electric wires acroos his land to protect his cultivation .The suspect is due to be produced before Hingurakgoda Magistrate Court.

Two Teenagers Had Drowned Whilst Bathing In Irattaperiyakulam Wewa in Vavuniya

Two Teenagers who had gone to bathe in Irattaperiyakulam Wewa(River) at Vavuniya this
noon  (15) to commemorate "Thaipongal "Day had drowned according to Iraataperiyakulam Police.

The deceased who were of the ages 14 and 15 years old and residents of Vavuniya had drowned after slipping and falling in to the water whilst preparing to take a bath with another four youth  it has been revealed.

Bodies of the deceased had been recovered during a search mission.
