Pregnant Mothers ,Lactating Mothers and Infant's have faced enormous difficulties during the  Constitutional Coup which lasted 53 days as the supply of nutrition supplement "THRIPOSHA" to Government Hospitals and Health Institutions had been stopped during that period according to Health Minister Dr.Rajitha. "THRIPOSHA " supply back to normalcy after reinstating of the legal government Minister has stressed .

Health Minister has appointed the former Health Ministry Secretary Su dharma Gunathilake as the New Chairman of THRIPOSHA manufacturing plant at Ja-Ela few days ago.

Governors Of Uva And Southern Provinces Changed

Election Monitoring Group  CAFFÈ who had sworn in as the Governor of Uva Province recently  had been removed from the post and appointed him as the new Governor of Southern Province by the President Maithripala Sirisena .

He had sworn in as Governor of Southern Province yesterday (09) it has been reported .

Meanwhile the Former Governor of Southern Province Marshal Perera had been sworn in as Governor of Uva Province .

Major General Shavendra Silva Has Been Appointed As Army Chief Of Staff

President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed Major General Shavendra Silva as the New Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army today (09).

Major Silva is the 53rd Army Chief Of Staff in the country .

He has joined Sri Lanka Army as a cadet Officer in 1984 and respected as an Army personsl done a yeoman service to the country during the Humanitarian mission against LTTE.
