More Than 20 Acres Of Land Had Been Destroyed In A Resreve At Hatton -Kotagala Due To A Fire

More than 20 Acres of land belonging to

a reserve owned by "Rosita" farm at Hatton ,Kotagala area had been destroyed due to a sudden fire erupted at reserve this afternoon (09) it has been reported .

Due to the dry weather condition and strong winds prevailing in Western slope areas of Central hills at present ,The fire is spreading rapidly according to Dimbula Police.

Police have informed the Farm owners to douse the fire before spreading it further.

Authorities believe an individual may have lit the fire in reserve.

The Rosita farm which owned the reserve is being managed by Veterinary Resources Board.

A New Carbon Tax To Be Imposed On All Vehicles

Motor Traffic Commissioner General Department has decided to impose A Carbon Tax on every vehicle with effective from 01st of January 2019 .

This Tax will be charged when getting Income license from the Department according to Motor Traffic Commissioner Jagath ChandRaSiri.

The Carbon Tax will be imposed when getting income licence next year it has been Revealed.
