Two Bangladeshi Nationals Had Been Arrested With More Than Rs.3500 Million Worth Haul Of Heroin And Cocaine

Two Bangaldeshi Nationals had been arrested by the Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials with

around 278 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin and more than 5 Kilo Grammes of Cocaine in their possession at a House they have stayed in at Dehiwala -Kawudana Road today(31).

The haul of Heroin and Cocaine which believes to be the largest haul of narcotics taken in to custody during a raid  carried out in Sri Lanka so far, worth more than  Rs.3500 million according to Police .

The haul of Heroin worth around Rs.3336 million and haul of Cocaine worth more than Rs.75 million taken in to custody in possession of the two suspects who are around 30 years old had been stored in different places of the house the suspects have stayed on rental basis  Police have said.

The two suspcted Bangaladeshi Nationals had distributed the narcotics throughout the Island whilst staying in the house it has been revealed.

Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials are conducting an investigations to find out the locals who are involved in narcotic business with the suspects.

A Spanish Female Has Died Due To A Road Accident

A 36 year old Spanish female has died after the Three Wheeler she was driving  from Colombo

to Anuradhspura  veering off the road at sixth post in Kaluwaragaswewa area on Puttalam-Anuradhapura road this noon(31).

The Spanish Boy friend of the deceased has also travelled with her in the Three Wheeler and escaped unhurt it has been reported.

The incident occurred when the deceased Spanish female who was in a tour Sri Lanka with her boy friend unable to control  the speed of the Three Wheeler according to Karuwalagaswewa Police.

Only the Spanish Couple was in the Three Wheeler at the time of the incident.

Minister of Health Dr.Rajitha Senaratne

has instructed the Special Investigations Unit (Flying Squad)which is dismantled by the unconstitutional government appointed by President recently, to resume their activities according to the Ministey of Health .

Health Minister has also advised the Investigation unit to probe on Doctors and other Health professionals who are involved in.private practice during duty hours and fraud and corruption activities in.the Health Ministry.
