New Ministry Secretaries Have Been Appointed

President Maithripala Sirisena has
appointed new Secretaries to 30 Ministries of the United National Front (UNF)Government yesterday  (21).

The new Ministry Secretaries have received their appointment letters from President Maithripala Sirisena during a ceremony held in President's office in Colombo last evening  .

Accordingly HemasirI Fernando has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Defense ,Ravinatha Ariyasinghe as Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ,Padmasiri Jayamanna as Secretary to the Ministry of Education and Wasantha Perera as Secretary to the Ministry Of Health .

Most of these officials have been appointed to the Ministries as Secretaries  by the president recently during the illegal Government formed under the patronage of former President Mahinda Rajapakshe .

Working Committee Of UNP Has Given Permission To Form New Political Force National Democratic Alliance

The Working Committee of the United
National Party (UNP)has given permission for UNP to form the proposed National Democratic Alliance as a wide political Alliance and to join it yesterday (21)during a UNP Working committe meeting held at Party Headquarters in "Sirikotha " in Pita Kotte under the patronage of UNP Leader Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe.

The proposal on  forming the National Democratic Alliance has been submitted to UNP Working Committee by Premier Wikramasinghe .Another meeting of UNP Working  Committee is scheduled to be held on 27 th of December to dicuss on the constitution of the Alliance..

Meanwhile Working Committee has decided to appoint Premier Ranil Wikramasinghe as the leader of UNP ,Sajith Premadasa as Deputy Leader and Ravi Karunanayake as Assistant Leader of UNP for the next year.

Bus,Three Wheeler And School Van Fares To Be Reduced As A Result Of Reduced Fuel Prices

As a result of the price reduction of
Petrol and Diesel came in to effect from last night ,Bus fares ,Three Wheeler fares and School Bus fares too are scheduled to be reduced shortly according to Bus ,Three Wheeler and School van unions .

Lanka Private Bus Owners Association is scheduled to meet with Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera and Minister of Transport Arjuna Ranathunge tomorrow (23)to discuss over the price reduction of Bus fares it has been revealed.

However All Ceylon Private Bus Trade Unions Federation has stated the Bus fares can be reduced by 4 to 5 percent within next week.

Three Wheeler Unions too should have consider to reduce Three Wheeler fares according to Self Employed Three Wheeler Association.

Meanwhile School Van fares are also due to be reduced in January it has been reported .

Lanka Indian Oil Company Has Also Reduced Petrol And Diesel Prices

Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC)Has
also Reduced the Petrol and Diesel prices with effect from midnight last night (21) coincides with Price reduction implemented by Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC)yesterday .

Accordingly LIOC has reduced the price of a Liter of Octane-92 and Octane-95 Petrol by Rs.10 ,price of a Liter of Auto Diesel by Rs.5 and Super Diesel by Rs.10.

As a result of the price reduction A Liter of Octane -92 Petrol is now selling for Rs.125, A Liter of Octane-95 Petrol Liter For Rs.149,A Liter of Auto Diesel for Rs.101 and A Liter of Super Diesel for Rs.121.

Accordingly Dr.Harsha De Silva(Minister of Common Facilities and Economic Reforms) ,Ajith.P.Perera (Minister Of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology )and Sujeewa Senasinghe (Minister Of Science, Technology and Non Research)had been sworn in as Non Cabinet Ministers and Ranjan Ramanayake (State Minister Of Roads and Road Development),Vijayakala Maheshwaren (State Minister of Education )  ,Faisal Kaseem (Stae Minister Of Health and Nutrition )and Eran Wikramaratne (State Minister of Finance) were  among the seventeen State  Ministers sworn in today .

Among the seven Deputy Ministers sworn in today ,Anoma Gamage had been sworn in as Deputy Minister of Petroleum Resources Development and Palitha Thewarappperuma sworn in as Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment.
