Two Persons Had Been Arrested With 1.905 Kilo Grammes Of Cannabis

Vavuniya Police have arrested two
persons whilst transporting 1.905 Kilo Grammes of Cannabis in a Bus travelling to Trincomalee near Thandikulam Junction on A-9 road ,Vavuniya in wee hours of this morning (29).

The suspects are 21 and 28 year old residents of Vijithapura, Kekirawa .A legal action is due to take against them.

Vavuniya Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.

Arjun Aloysius And Kasun Palisena Had Been Further Remanded Over Central Bank Bond Scam

The owner of the Perpetual Treasuries
Limited Arjun Aloysius and Chief Executive Officer Kasun Palisena who are in remand over the Central Bank Bond Scam had been further remanded until 04th of December by the Colombo Fort Magistrate today (29).

The two suspects who have been remanded under the public properties act were further remanded after producing  before the court today .

TNA Has Informed President Sirisena, It Will Support A Government Lead By United National Front

Tamil National Alliance (TNA)has today
(29)informed the Prevident Maithripala Sirisena through a letter  ,it will support a government lead by United National Front (UNF) as UNF has the majority of support in Parliament.

In the letter TNA has stated the party has made this decision as the no confidence motion submitted against appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe has been passed in the parliament with a majority of votes.

The letter sent to the President was signed by 14 TNA MP's including their leader and  opposition Leader R.Sambandan.

Meanwhile  TNA And UNP Leaders are due to meet President Maithripala Sirisena tomorrow (30)evening at Presidential Secretariet separately and hold discussions over the current political crisis .However Leftist Janatha  Wimukthi Peramuna  (JVP)has told in Parliament today (29 )the party will never negotiate with President as he has violated the Constitution severely. 

A Proposal TO Cut Off Expenditure For Prime Mimister's Office Has Been Passed By 123 Votes In Parliament -Minority Govt MP's Have Boycotted The Sessions

A proposal submitted by the United
National Party (UNP)to cut off the expenditure for Prime Minister's office has been passed  in Parliament today (29)by a majority of 123 votes.

Accordingly 123 MP"s have voted in favour of the proposal whilst no one  voted against it as the minority government MP's lead by Appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe had boycotted today's parliamentary sessions for the second time of the week.

Parliament has convened this morning at 10.30 a.m under the patronage of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.

UNP Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake has submitted the proposal to Parliament today and another UNP Parliamentarian Navin Dissanayake has confirmed the proposal .

The vote was conducted half through an electronic system and other half by name .

Only the Minister Of Education in minority Government WijeDasa Rajapakshe who has crossed over to the minority government from UNP Has seated in Government Bench during today's sessions .He has made a statement urging the need to hand over the government to the faction that has majority of support in Parliament.

The MP who had crossed over to the minority government and UNP time to time UNP Parliamentarian  Wasantha Senanayake has today voted in favour of the proposal.

Parliament has adjourned until 10.30 a. M tomorrow (30)by the speaker Karu Jayasuriya .

Meanwhile it has been reported that minority government MP's had a meeting at Parliament canteen during today's Parliament session.
