Derailed Service Train Caused Disruption Of Train Services In Up Country Railway Line

Train services in Up-country Railway
line had been disrupted due to a derailment of a service Train travelling from Thalawakale to Colombo this evening (24 )at Hatton Train station.

The derailed Train had been taken to Thalawakale for the maintainace work of Up-country Railway line and it was derailed on the way Colombo after completing maintainance work there it has been revealed.

Authorities are due to clear the Railway line by removing some Compartments of the derailed Train.

United National Front Has Filed A Petition In Court Of Appeal Against Appointed Premier And Cabinet Ministers

United National Front (UNF)has
yesterday  (23)filed a petition at Court of Appeal by requesting the court to issue a "Quo Warranto "Writ order by stating appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe and his Cabinet Ministers of the minority government cannot hold their positions .

122 MP's who are supporting the United National Party in Parliament are the petitioners of this petition.

Collecting facts to the petition will be done next week according to United National Party MP Ajith.P.Perera .

A 19 Year Old Student Was Stabbed To Death In Front Of A Tution Class

A 19 year old student was stabbed to
death  and another student had been injured and hospitalized due to stabbing during a brawl   incident occurred Infront of a Tution class at Alawella road ,Matara this morning (24).

The critically injured year 13 student attached to a popular school in Matara had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Matara General Hospital for treatment. Another student had been injured due to the stabbing incident also  admitted to the same Hospital for treatment .

The deceased student was a resident of Thihagoda ,Matara it has been revealed.

Matara Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.
