How Authorities Caused Inconvenience To Public -Eighteen Hour Water Cut Currently Implemented In Many Areas Of Colombo District

Eighteen hour long water cut began at 8 a.m today  (24) is now on in four Municipal Council, Three Urban Council, Two Pradishiya Sabha areas and Ratmalana and Soyza flat scheme until 2 a.m tomorrow (25) due to a major repair work in Ambathale water purification center according to National Water Supplies and Drainage Board .

Accordingly  Water cut is implemented in Colombo ,Dehiwala -Mount Lavinia ,Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Council areas,Boralesgamuwa ,Maharagama and Kolonnawa Urban Council areas and kotikawatte and Mulleriyawa Pradishiya Sabha areas .

Transport Activities Of Ella-Wellawaya Road Disrupted Due To Collapsing Of Soil Mounds

Transport activities of Ella -Wellawaya
main road had been disrupted since last night(22) due to the Collapsing of Soil Mounds to the road from several areas  as a result of heavy showers prevailed in the area it has been reported.

In one instance a lane of the road had blocked due to a Collapsing of a Soil mound in Karandagolla area authorities have said. 

Two Little Girls Had Been Killed In Mahiyanganaya Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

Two girls of the ages  9 and 11 year old
had been killed due to a Wild Elephant attack at Mapakadawewa area in Mahiyanganaya last night (22).

The deceased girls , 9 year old Fathima Rizna and 11 year old Anwer umma had faced this incident when they along with other family members had came out of the house soon after the Wild Elephant attacked their house.

The Elephant had chased after  the two girls and attacked them when they attempted to run to save their lives it has been revealed.

The Wild Elephant attacked and damaged the house of deceased girl as well according to Mahiyanganaya Police. 

Minority Government MP 's To Boycott Parliament Until Speaker Change His Behaviour -MP Dinesh Gunawardana

Minority government MP"s have
decided to withdraw from parliamentary activities until Speaker Karu Jayasuriya act according to Constitution,Parliamentary traditions and standing orders ,The leader of the House of Minority government Dinesh Gunawardana has said today (23)

Addressing a media briefing held at Parliamentary Complex after walking out from the chambers opposing the selection of Parliamentary select committee ,MP Gunawardana Has stressed minority government will decide whether to participate parliamentary proceedings in future after look at the agenda  of the day.

Meanwhile some reports say minority government is planning to boycott parliamentary proceedings  until 07th of December the day Supreme Court due to deliver a verdict on whether the dissolvement of Parliament by President Is legal or not .


Parliamentary Proceedings Held Seven And Half Hours Uninteruptedly Without A Break

Parliamentary proceedings which
commenced at 10.30 a.m today (23 )under the patronage of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya held around seven and half hours without intetval until 6 p.m this evening without the presence of minority government members .

Speakers seated in opposition bench spoke mainly on the current situation in the country and status of people as well as on the  Constitutional conspiracy in October .

As per proposed by Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP) leader and opposition Organizer Anura Kumara Dissanayake Parliamentary proceedings adjourned until 1 p.m next Tuesday (27).

Earlier in the day Party Leaders meeting convened under the patronage of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya at 9 a.m this morning prior to the Parliamentary proceedings ended without a conclusion. The meeting was held to finalize today's parliamentary agenda and the composition of Parliamentary select committee.

Security was tightened at Speaker's office and Parliament Complex during the meeting. Snuffer dogs have used to check inside Parliament before the proceedings .
