Minority Government Has Nominated 07 Members To The 12 Member Parliament Select Committee

The minority government of Appointed
Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe has nominaTed  07 members for the Proposed 12 member Parliament select committee and sent the list of their names to the General secretary of the Parliament today (21).

Accordingly the 07 members nominated  by the minority government were Appointed Ministers Dinesh Gunawardana,  Nimal Siripala De Silva ,S.B Dissanayake,Mahinda Samarasinghe,Wimal Weerawansha, Udaya Gammanpila and Thilanga Sumathipala .

However other parties which represents majority in Parliament opposed over allocating  the minority government the majority of members in the committee.Although other parties have opposing it  ,minority government has named 07 members which is  a majority ,to the committee.

However Speaker Karu Jayasuriya is due to finalize the members of the committee

United National Party and other parties of the United National Front government are due to.announce their members nominated for the Parliament Select Committee by this Friday  (23).

Cabinet Has Approved An Interim Account To Be Submitted To Parliament

An Interim Account submitted by the
appointed Premier and Finance Minister of new Government Mahinda Rajapakshe to fiX  the government's expenditure for first four months of next year (2019) from 01st of January has been approved by the Cabinet today (21)to be  submitted  to the Parliament  .

Appointed Premier has submitted the Interim Account until a national budget is submit to the Parliament it has been revealed.

Appointed Premier has also submitred a complete report on the current economic situation of the country and future actions to be taken ,to the Cabinet meeting held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at President's office .

Public And VIP Galleries Of Parliament To Be Closed During The Parliamentary Session Scheduled To Be Held This Friday

It has been decided to close down the
Public and VIP Galleries in the Parliament During the Parliamentary session scheduled to be convened at 10 a.m on this Friday  (23)according to Parliamentary sources .

The public gallery was closed during the Parliamentary session convened last Monday   (19)at 1.30 p.m and only Media personal were allowed to enter .

However the session of the Parliament that day was restricted to around seven minutes as the Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri had adjourned the Parliament until this Friday. 

Passing Of Two No Confidence Motions At Parliament Against New Government Included In PARLIAMENT Hanzard Reports

Hanzard Reports of Parliament dated
15th and 16th of November had stated two no confidence motions had been passed in Parliament against the government of Mahinda Rajapakshe on 24 th and 16th of November.

According to the Hanzard Reports Speaker  has announced the  No confidence motion submitted against the minority government of New Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe on 14th of November has been passed after suspending the Parliamentary standing orders as per a proposal made by Tamil National Alliance  (TNA) MP M. A  Sumanthiran. 

At that time although Speaker wants to take a vote by name of MP's ,it fails as government MP's have obstructed it .Then the motion has been passed through a vote by voice .

Speaker has revealed afterwards no MP in the government will accept as Prime Minister  or a Minister as new government has not been appointed according to the Hanzard Reports.
