A Businessman Was Arrested With 27 "Love Birds" And "Parrots " Illegally Brought To Sri Lanka
Airport Customs officers have arrested
a 34 Year Old Sri Lankan Businessman with plastic bird cages containing 27 Love Birds and Parrots illegally brought to Sri Lanka from Singapore at Katunayake, Bandaranaike International Airport last night (17).
The suspect who is a resident of Katuneriya in Chilaw area had arrived in from Singapore and arrested whilest attempting leave the Airport through the "Green Channel".
He has hidden the plastic biRd cages containing 10 "Love Birds" and 17 "Parrots" inside his luggage it has been revealed .The estimated value of the set of birds taken in to custody in possession of the suspect is around Rs.650,000 .
The suspect was fined Rs.100,000 as he has not obtained a valid license to import these birds from Singapore and the birds have been confiscated .
Later the Set of birds have been ordered to tranship to Singapore last night .

President Requested The Parties Attended All Party Conference To Pass The No Confidence Motion By Holding A Vote By Name Or Using Electronic System
President Maithripala Sirisena has
today (18)requested the Parties attended the All Party Conference held at Presidential Secretariet to hold vote to pass the No confidence motion submitted to the Parliament against the newly appointed government by name of MP's or using the electronic mechanism ,to enable him to take a decision on the next step ,according to President's Media Unit .
Even vote system by voice is mentioned in Parliamentary standing orders it's not the suitable way to use when changing a government and vote by name or vote conducted through a electronic system will be most recognised ways to public, him,intellectuals of the country and to Internaional parties president has stressed during the meeting.
All the Parties attended the Conference including United National Party ,United People's Freedom Alliance,Tamil National Alliance and Sri Lanka Muslim Congress have agreed to act peacefully in Parliament without any disturbances the Media Unit has said.
Meanwhile the future activities of Parliament scheduled to be decided during a party leaders meeting to be held tomorrow (19)at Parliamentary Complex prior to the tomorrow's Parliamentary session it has been announced .

government including Udaya Gammanpila and Wimal Weerawansha have told the media after the All Party Conference which concluded at Presidential Secretariet this evening (18),The Conference chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena has ended without reaching an agreement .
newly appointed Minister GAmmanpila has said if the United National Party is ready to submit a no confidence motion against the new government legally and got approved in Parliament his government is ready to step down.
The details of no confidence motion passed against new government not included in Hanzard reports of the Parliament he has stressed.
Meanwhile the MP's belonging to new government are due to decide whether they will participate the Parliamentary session scheduled to be held tomorrow at 1.30 p.m or not at a meeting to be conducted under the patronage of new Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe at 11 a.m tomorrow (19).

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya Refused To Attend Today's All Party Conference
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has informed
the President Maithripala Sirisena today (18)that he will not attend the All Party Conference called by President this evening to be held at 5 p.m. in Presidential Secretariet ,Colombo.
In a letter sent to the President to inform his decision, Speaker Jayasuriya has said his presence is not essential for a meeting held between Party leaders and will implement the decisions taken at the meeting after informing him on them.Speaker was also invited to the conference scheduled to be held with the participation of leaders of parties representing Parliament including United National Party ,United People's Freedom Alliance and Tamil National Alliance.
The All Party Conference scheduled to be held to find a solution for the political turmoil and disputes erupted in Parliament recently.
Meanwhile Leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP)too has decided not to attend the meeting it has been reported.
