Minister Of Transport Want A 9-11 Member Judge Panel To Hear Petitions Filed Against President s Gazette Notification

Minister of Transport in the newly
appointed Government Nimal Siripala De Silva has said today (13) the Fundamental rights petitions filed at Supreme Court by various parties and organization's against the President Maithripala Sirisena s Gazette Notification to dissolve Parliament should be heard before a Judge Panel Comprising of 9-11 judges .

Addressing a media briefing held at Prime Minister's  Office at Flower Road in Colombo -07  this evening Minister De Silva has said everyone expected that a prime minister will be selected through a vote in Parliament tomorrow (14 ), when the Parliament meet .However it is president who can appoint Prime Minister and the Cabinet he has stressed. 

President Has Instructed Tri Forces Commanders And IGP To Mantain Law And Order

President Maithripala Sirisena has
instructed the Tri force Commanders and Inspector General Of Police (IGP )to make a special security plan to maintain peaceful enviornment in the country further during a Special meeting of National Security Council held under the Patronage of President few hours ago .

Inspector General Of Police Pujith Jayasundara has instructed the senior Police officials to take steps to maintain law and order in the country soon after the Security Council meeting . 

Speaker Has Called A Parliamentary Session Tomorrow (14)

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has decided to
convene the Parliament at 10 a.m tomorrow (14) under the Gazette Notification Number 2059 issued by President Maithripala Sirisena on 04  th of November  ,After the Supreme Court has suspended the Gazette Notification issued by President to dissolve Parliament.

Speaker has requested all MP's to attend the Parliamentary session tomorrow at 10 a.m and a vote to decide the Prime Minister who has the majority of support in Parliament likely to be held  tomorrow it has been reported.

Before the Parliament session a special Party leaders meeting scheduled to be held at Parliamentary Complex at 8.30 a.m.

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya Called A Party Leaders Meeting Tomorrow (14)

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has called an
urgent party leaders meeting tomorrow  (14)at Parliament premises to discuss on convening of Parliament it has been announced .

After the Supreme Court's decision to suspend the Gazette Notification issued by President Sirisena regarding dissolvement of Parliament, President's earlier Gazette notification regarding convening Parliament on 14 th of November  will come to effect according to Prime Minister Ranil Wkiramasinghe, Chief government whip Gayantha Karunathilake and Leader of the House Lakshman Kiriella .

Meanwhile Premier Wikramasinghe has stated after Supreme Court's decision today this is a victory but need to win the battle .

Newly appointed Minister Trade and Commerce Johnston Fernando says issuing an interim order is normal in any case and due to this it's not a victory of any side.
