MP Athuraliye Thero To Remain As Independent MP And Support The President

Appointed United National Party (UNP)
MP Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thero Has today (04)said that he will remain in Parliament as an Independent MP and support President Maithripala Sirisena.

Addressing a Press Briefing held at "Sadaham Sevana "in Rajagiriya today (04),Rathana Thero Has stressed that Appointing of Former President Mahinda Rajapakshe as New premier by the President Sirisena is Constitutional.

However Thero Has said he will not support new Premier Rajapakshe ,But only the interim government appointed by President. The previous National Unity Government has failed to fulfill the change people  expected he has revealed.

Current interim government should have taken steps to go for a Parliamentary Election within next three months he has further said.

Another Two Cabinet Ministers ,A State Minister and A Deputy Minister from UNP Had Sworn In

Minister and a Deputy Minster had sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena at President's office this evening  (04) it has been reported.

Accordingly Joint Opposition MP Dinesh Gunawardana had sworn in as Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara had sworn in as Minister of National Integrity and State languages. MP Keheliya Rambukwella had sworn in as State Minister of Media and Digital Infrastructure and United National Party  (UNP ) MP Asoka Priyantha who  had crossover to the Newly appointed Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe ,Had sworn in as Deputy Minister of Internal Culture And North Western Development.

The newly crossed UNP MP Asoka Priyantha is a Puttalam District Parliamentarian. 

Appointment Of New Premier, Government, Minister's And Secretaries Are Illegal -JVP MP Vijitha Herath

"Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna (JVP) does not recognize Newly appointed
Prime Minister and the Government as these Appointments made against the Constitution " Publicity Secretary of the JVP MP Vijitha Herath has said today (04) .

Addressing a Press briefing held at the Party Headquarters in Palawatte, Battaramulla MP Herath said that his party will not support either Mahinda Rajapakshe or Ranil Wikramasinghe but will appear behalf of Democracy and that's why demanding to convene the Parliament.

As the appointment of new Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe and the new government  is unconstitutional all the Cabinet ,State, Deputy Minister's, Ministry Secretaries and Institutional Heads appointed under the new Prime Minister are also illegal he has said.

People should reject these illegal appointments MP Herath has stated.

Under the Constitution it clearly stated how to appoint and remove Prime Minster from the post He has revealed.

UNP Parliamentarian Range Bandara Says He Was Offered A Huge Bribe Money And Cabinet Post To Crossover

Minster Range Bandara who had recently revealed the newly appointed Government of former President and new Premier Mahinda Rajapakshe had attempted to offer him millions of Rupees to crossover to the new government yesterday (03) shown a recorded telephone conversation he had with United People's Freedom Alliance MP S.B Dassanayake over the crossover  during a media briefing .

In that Conversation MP Dassanayake had asked Range Bandara "Aren't you coming to us" it has been revealed.According to the recorded
conversation MP Dissanayake had asked State Mimister Bandara to come to them quickly and will offer him a Cabinet Ministerial  post as a result according to the state Minister .

He has revealed this during a media briefing held at Temple Trees yesterday.

Easier he has said that he was offered a huge bribe money to crossover to the newly appointed government which was denied by the new government MP's.

Meanwhile MP S.B Dissanayake has accepted the fact that he has invited Range Bandara to cross over to his side but denied the bribery allegations.

Meanwhile UNP Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake says he will complaint to the Bribery Commission over the Bribery case State Minister Range Bandara has revealed .
