A Stock Of Illegal Explosives Had Been Taken In To Custody At A House In Hambanthota

attached to Suriyawewa Base have taken in to custody a stock of Explosives including Detonators ,Ammonium Nitrate and Dynamite in securely and illegally stored at a house in Pahala Andarawewa area, in Hambanthota (Southern Province)yesterday  (30).

Among the stock of Explosives that have taken into custody were 920 Deternators functioning with electricity ,more than 1200 Dynamite pills and 25 Kilo Grammes of Ammonium Nitrate stored in more than 50 Grammes according to sources .

These Explosives had been taken in to custody as per the information received by the Special Police Task Force Personal.

UPFA General. Secretary Had Requested The Speaker To GI've Rights And Privilages Of Prime Minister To New Prime Minister

People's Freedom.Alliance  (UPFA) has today (30)requested the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya  to give every right and privilages entitled to the Prime Minister's post  to the newly elected Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe.

In a letter sent to the Speaker Jayasuriya ,UPFA General secretary  Mahinda Amaraweera has stressed that President Sirisena had appointed Mahinda Rajapakshe as the New Prime Minister according to the powers vested to him  through the Constitution. 

Speaker Again Requested The President For The Second Time To Convene The Parliament

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya Had today (30)
again requested the President Maithripala Sirisena for the second time ,to convene the Parliament as soon as possible to solve the current political conflict in the country .

In a letter sent to the President Sirisena, Speaker has stressed that  around 126 MP's  and four parties including the United National Party had requested him to convene the Parliament .

Therefore Speaker had requested the President to convene the Parliament and give power to the party which commands the majority in Parliament. If not people will take alternative action he has said.

Prorogueing the Parliament until 16 th of November is disrespecting democratic rights Speaker has stressed.

Speaker has also convened a Party leaders meeting at Parliamentary complex to discuss on the current political situation of the country.

Meanwhile Two British MP's have said in British Parliament today (30) that Sri Lankan President should convene the Parliament. One Conservative MP has said the British Government will only recognize Ranil Wikramasinghe as Sri Lanka"s  Prime Minister.
