CID Has Questioned Former DIG Nalaka De Silva For The Second Day Over Nine Hours
Criminal Investigations Department
(CID)has today (19)questioned former Director of Terrorism Investigations Division and Former Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG)Nalaka De Silva for the second day over nine hours regarding the allegations levelled against him on conspiring to assasinate President and Former Defense Secretary .
After giving a statement to the CID ,former DIG Nalaka De Silva had left the premises it has been reported.
The Former DIG Who had been interdicted by National Police Commission recently over the charges levelled against him had been questioned for around eight half hours yesterday (18) as well.

A 49 year old person was killed due to a
Wild Elephant attack at PaluKandawa area in Galgamuwa last night (18).
The deceased who is a resident of Palukandawa area had faced the Elephant attack when he had come out of the house to check a noise in the garden last night .
The Body of the deceased had been sent to Galgamuwa Hospital.

Police Have Used Tear Gas And Water Cannons To Disperse a University Students Protest
Riot Police have used Tear Gas and
water cannons to disperse a protest conducted by the students of South Eastern University at Oluvil Infront of the University Grants Commission (UGC )Building in Ward Place ,Colombo 07 this afternoon (19).
Due to the students Protest Ward Place has been closed for few hours and as a result heavy traffic had been reported from Town Hall and surrounding areas .
The group of University Students had protested Infront of the UGC Building demanding to remove punishments imposed on a group of University Students attached to South Eastern University by the authorities .
