A Student Had Committed Suicide In Ginigathhena

A year 9 student attached to

Ginigathhena Central Collage had committed suicide by hanged himself last morning (13)at his house in Pambahena ,Ginigathhena.

The cause of the suicide has not yet been revealed.

The body of the deceased student had been sent to Ginigathhena Provincial Hospital .

Hatton -Bagawanthalawa Road To Remain Closed Due To A Landslide Threat

Authorities have decided to close down

further   the Hatton -Bagawanthalawa road which temporarily closed down for traffic since  last afternoon  (13)due to a sunken area of the road and a Landslide threat .

The Transport activities of the road had been completely stopped temporarily due to a sunken area of the road from NewWeligama ,Norwood road.

As a result Police have advised the Motorists to use an alternative routes to travel until further notice. 

A Person Was Arrested With A Hand Grenade

A 37 year old person had been arrested

with a Local made hand grenade at Aladuwawatte area in Mathugama, Kalutara by the Mathugama Police yesterday (13)during a raid carried out in the area.
