A 38 Year Old Pakistani National Was Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin

A 38 year old Pakistani National Was
Arrested by the Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officials in wee hours of this morning (13)at the Arrival lounge of Katunayake, Bandaranaike International Airport with 2.426 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in his possession.

The Suspect who had arrived in from Doha,Qatar  has hidden the haul of Heroin inside a fake bottom of his luggage it has been revealed.

The estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken in to custody in possession of the suspect is nearly Rs.30 Million.This was the sixth time the suspect has arrived in Sri Lanka according to authorities.

A Bomb Scare Caused A Tense Situation At A Popular Girls School In Negambo

A tense situation had occurred in a
popular girls school in Negambo yesterday (12)after an anonymous phone call had been rechived by the school principal saying there was  a Time bomb placed at the school premises and evacuate the students from the school as a result within 20 minutes.

As a safety messure all the students of the school had been evacuated and moved towards a nearby ground by the School principal And staff.

However the Bomb disposing squad of the Army and Police had searched the school premises to find out whether  there was  a bomb and found nothing in the school premises it has been revealed.

Police and Criminal Investigations Department  (CID)have launched an investigation regarding the Anonymous phone call received by the School principal which caused the Bomb scare

A Person Has Died After Consuming "Babul" Betel Leaves

A 48 year old person has died after
consuming intoxicated "Babul"Betel leaves at Hatton Railway station last Wednesday night (10).

The deceased who was a resident of Mattakkuliya area had faced this incident Whilest at the Hatton  Railway station awaiting to travel from Colombo Fort night mail Train it has been revealed.

The deceased has arrived in Hatton Railway station after visiting a relatives house at Hatton with family members.

The Post mortem of the deceased has been conducted at Dikoya Base Hospital and according to the Post Mortem report the deceased  has died due to consuming "Betel "Leaves.
