Newly Revised Train Fare Prices Have Been Implemented From Today (01)

The newly revised Train fare prices are
being implemented with effect from today (01) for the  first time since ten years as per proposed from the 2018 annual budget proposals according to Department Of Railways.

Accordingly Train fares have been increased by 15 percent ,However the minimum train fare of Rs.10 will not be changed the Department has announced .

The price of a Train Season Tickets too has been increased .

A 26 Year Old Female Was Arrested With A Stock Of Kerala Cannabis

A 26 year old female was arrested by
the Police with 1.620 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in her possession at Odarsinnakulam area in Vavuniya yesterday  (30).

The suspected female who is a resident of  Odarsinnakulam area has been arrested whilst attempting to transport the stock of Kerala Cannabis in a Motorcycle .

She is due to be produced before the court .

A 40 Year Old Female Was Killed Due To A Misfire At Ja-Ela

A 40   year old female was killed after
the gun shots fired by an unidentified Gunman targeting a motorist ,fired towards her this noon (30)near Ja-Ela -Weligampitiya junction.

The critically injured female who was travelling in a Motor Car at the time of the incident had succumbed to her injuries after admission to the Intensive Care Unit of Ragama Teaching Hospital .The deceased female was a resident of Ja-Ela and she had faced this incident whilst she and her eight year old daughter on the way home at Ja-Ela after attending the morning church mass

The daughter of the deceased has escaped unhurt.

The Gunman arrived in from a Car had fled away from the scene after the incident and the Motorist targeted  by the Gunman has complaint the incident to Ja-Ela Police.

The reason behind the shooting has not yet been revealed.
