Colombo National Eye Hospital To Perform Eye Tests Of Diabetic Patients With High Tech Retinal Camera

Testing Eyes of Diabetic patients by using high tech modern Retinal Camera will be performed for the first time in Sri Lanka from 21st of September  (Yesterday ) up to 21 st of October at the National Eye Hospital in Colombo according to Ophthal mologists .

Now a high tech Modern Retinal Camera has been  fixed at National Eye Hospital to perform eye tests of Diabetic patients accurately within short period of time they have said.

Anyone in Colombo and outststations with Diabetes who wants to test their eyes can doing so from 8 a.m  to 4 p.m during weekdays at Room number 30 of the Eye Hospital up to 21st of October .

Body Of A 29 Year Old Female Lecturer Had Been Recovered Whilst Floating In Eastern Seas

A  body of a 29 year old female Lecturer
had been recovered by Police whilst floating in the sea near the Trincomalee Fort Sea coast last  Wednesday (20).

The deceased Lecturer was attached to the Faculty of Business Studies and Mass Communication at the Trincomalee Division of the Eastern University.A

Before recovering the body a person had found the shoes and the Hand Bag belonging to the deceased Lecturer and handed over them to the life saving unit of the Police.

The cause of the death has not yet been revealed.


Ninty Six Garment Factory Workers Fallen Sick After Consuming Breakfirst

Around 96 Garment Factory workers
attached to a Garment Factory in Yaka hatuwa, Minuwangoda had been admitted to Minuwangoda District Hospital for treatment after falling sick due to a food poisoning this morning (22) it has been reported.

The sicken Garment Factory workers had fallen sick with symptoms including vomiting, Stomachache and fatigue after consuming Breakfirst provided to them by a private institute .

Accordingly 71 sicken Factory workers had been admitted to Minuwangoda District Hospital and 25 workers had been admitted to Gampaha Teaching Hospital. 

Five Persons Injured Due To Van-Bus Collision

Five Persons had been injured and
hospitalized after the Van they were travelling in colliding with a Private Bus and veering off the road and toppled over  at Ginigathhena-Rampadeniya area on Hatton-Colombo main road this morning (22).

The injured were admitted to the Ginigathhena Provincial Hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred due to the High Speed Private Bus travelling from Hatton to Colombo colliding with the Van travelling from Seeduwa to Nuwara Eliya .There were 11 Passangers In the Bus at the time of the accident .

Ginigathhena Police are conducting an investigations over the incident.
