A Female Pillion Rider Was Killed Due To Motorcycle -Tipper Collision
A 64 year old Pillion rider was killed
and the Motorcyclist had been injured and hospitalized after the Motorcycle they were travelling in colliding with a Tipper Truck at Nupe Jumction in Matara .
The injured Motorcyclists and the Pillion rider had been admitted to the Matara General Hospital where the Pillion rider had succumbed to her injuries before admission.
Matara Police have arrested the Tipper Truck driver regarding the incident .
and the Motorcyclist had been injured and hospitalized after the Motorcycle they were travelling in colliding with a Tipper Truck at Nupe Jumction in Matara .
The injured Motorcyclists and the Pillion rider had been admitted to the Matara General Hospital where the Pillion rider had succumbed to her injuries before admission.

Four Persons Including A Buddhist Monk Had Been Injured Due To A Brawl At Sigiriya
Four Persons including a Buddhist
Monk had been injured and hospitalized due to a brawl occurred between the Buddhist Monk attached to a Temple at Henwalayagama in Sigiriya and residents of a nearby land yesterday (14)it has been reported.
The brawl has occurred after the Buddhist Monk had disposed the Garbage collected at the Temple after cleaning ,to the nearby land according to Police.
During the brawl a Pregnant mother residing in the land, her husband and ,Brother had been injured and admitted to Dambulla Base Hospital due to assaulting them by using a sharp object and the Buddhist Monk had also injured his fingers and admitted to same Hospital it has been revealed.

President Sirisena Has Recalled Sri Lankan Ambassador To Austria And Five Senior Embassy Staff Members Over Not Answering His Phone Calls

today (15)recalled Sri Lankan Ambassador to Austria Ms.Priyani Wije sekare and five senior staff members of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Austrian capital Vienna over not answering his long distance calls for nearly 12 hours last week.
President Sirisena has recalled the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Austria and five senior staff members of the Embassy via President s Secretary it has been reported.
However although Ministry Of Foreign affairs has confirmed the Presidents decision to recall Sri Lankan Ambassador, The Ministry has not given the reason why the president himself attempted to call Sri Lankan Ambassador to Austria directly without doing so through the Foreign Ministry.
The new Ambassador and staff members to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Vienna will be announced soon the Ministry has stated.

An Indian National Was Arrested With Foreign Liquor In Possession
The suspect who had arrived in from Tamil Nadu ,Southern India was arrested as per an information received by the Police.
The suspected Indian National Was fined with Rs.9000 and released after being produced before Negambo Magistrate Court.
