Fourteen Thai Females Have Been Arrested During A Raid Carried Out At A "SPA" In Colpetty

Fourteen Thai females attached to a
famous "SPA "(Body massage Center) center  at Samudra Road ,Colpetty had been arrested by the Flying Squad officers of Immigration and Emigration Department over employing  in Sri Lanka illegally during a raid carried out this week.

The Thai females had been arrested over arriving via Tourist visas and employed in Sri Lanka illegally according to officials .

As the Owner and Management of the "SPA"center were absent at the time of the raid ,They have been  informed to give a statement regarding these Thai females employing mainly as sex workers ,to the head office of Immigration and Emigration Department .

A Person Was Arrested By Police While Attempting To Carry Heroin Hidden Inside A Rice Pack To See His Imprisoned Wife

Keselwatte Police have arrested a
person who had attempted to carry more than 4000 mili Grammes of Heroin hidden inside a Rice pack to see his  wife who had been remanded over heroin snuggling charges  on last Wednesday  (12)near the Welikada Prison it has been  reported.

The arrest was made as per the information received by the Anti Corruption Unit OIC of Keselwatte Police.

Police had followed him from Keselwatte area to arrest him near the prison .

Water Supply To Galle Urban Council Area Had Been Temporarily Suspended Yesterday Due To A Bursting Of A Water Pump

Board has suspended the water supply to Galle Urban Council area yesterday  (23) temporarily due to a bursting of a Water pump pimping water to Galle Bikka Main water pond from Wakwella water purification center .

However the Water Board has taken steps to supply water to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital continuously without any interruption  it has been reported.

Due to the bursting of One out of the three pumps supplying water to Galle Bikka main pond caused this problem
However the water board had began the maintenance work to repair the damaged water pump. 

IGP Had Instructed Police Special Investigations Unit To Probe

Inspector General Of Police (IGP)
Pujitha Jayasundara has instructed the Police Special Investigations Unit to probe on the allegations leveled against the Director of Terrorism Investigation Division, Deputy Inspector General Of Police  (DIG)Nalaka De Silva.

The Anti Corruption Force had complaint to the Police Commission that the DIG Nalaka De Silva is implementing a conspiracy programme.

Arjun Aloysius And Kasun Palisena Had Been Further Remanded Over The Central Bank Bond Scam

Limited Arjun Aloysius and it"s Chief Executive Officer Kasun Palisena who had been  arrested and remanded over Central Bank Bond Scam issue  had been further remanded until 28th of September by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court today (13).

The two main suspects had been further remanded after being produced before the court when the case against them was. taken up for hearing today.

The two suspects had been arrested over the Fraudulent Activities occurred during the issuance of Treasury Bill's by the Central Bank on 27th of February 2015.


A Wild Elephant Fallen Into A Well Had Been Saved After A Long Mission

Wild Life officers have saved the life of
a Wild Elephant who had fallen in to a Agri Well at Kandalama,Sigiriya after a mission which had taken more than 30 hours ,today (13)and released him to the forest.

Earlier the Wild Life officers at Sigiriya had attempted to taken out the Wild Elephant  whose one eye is blind  from the well by using Backo Machines, However it fails and with the assistance of Wild Life officers in surrounding areas including Bakamuna and Minneriya and residents of the area the Elephant had been taken out from the well today by using ropes.

One leg of the Wild Elephant was stucked in mud when the mission began .

After treating several gun shot injuries of  His body the Elephant had been released to the forest.
