A Stock Of 340 T-56 Live Ammunitions Had Recovered From Meethotamulla Garbage Dump
A group of Army Development Officers had recovered a bag containing 340 T-56 Live ammunitions and 12 empty Ammunition cases from the base of Meethotamulle Garbage Dump ,While involved in removing garbage from Meeethotamulla Garbage Dump and preparing the dump land yesterday (11) according to the Police Media Spokesman'S office.
As per the information received from the Army team ,Wellampitiya Police have taken the stock of Ammunitions under their custody.
The way the stock of Ammunition came to the Garbage dump has not yet been revealed. Police are conducting further investigations over the incident.
Few Roads Were Closed And Several Other Roads Had Heavy Traffic Due To Two Protest Marches In Colombo

Fort ,The Lotus Roundabout and Ward Place had been closed and some other roads were blocked for hours due to heavy traffic congestion this evening (12) due to two protest Marches conducted by students attached to Inter University Students Federation and Development Services Officers Union .
Accordingly Lotus Road and Ward Place at Town Hall were closed for traffic for several hours due to the Protest march conducted by Inter University Students Federation over demanding solutions for problems of Sabaragamuwa University Students.
Although one lane of Ward Place closed for traffic due to the Protest the protesters had seen protested in front of Ministry of Higher Education at Ward Place .
Meanwhile due to the Protest march conducted by Development Services Officers Union over demanding solutions for their demands including salary anomaly problem Borella-Narahenpita, Borella Cemetery Roundabout, Malalasekare Mawatha, Buddhaloka Road and surrounding roads had experienced heavy traffic for hours this evening .
The protesters had marched towards the Ministry of Public Administration to hand over a memorandum regarding their demands.

Life Of A Giant Pearl Whale Had Saved By Navy Personal
Around 30 Navy Personal attsched to the "Gotabaya" Navy camp have carried the Giant Pearl Whale known as an endangered species weighing around 1.5 tonnes, to the deep sea area with the help of ropes and a Navy Boat and released him to the sea it has been revealed.
The whole process has taken around three hours to complete .
Only White Sambhur Left At Sinharaja Forest Had Shot And Killed
The only white Sambhur left in historical Sinharaja Rain forest reserve had shot and killed by an unidentified group of persons today (11) at a Tea Estate near the reserve it has been reported.
"White Sambhurs are considered as rare Endangered species. The body of the White Sambhur had first seen by residents of the area and they have afterwards informed the Wild Life officers on the incident.
Wild Life officers are conducting an investigations over the incident.
