A Year Seven School Girl Got Injured And Hospitalized After Her Skirt Got Caught To The Fire
A year seven school girl attached to
Campion Tamil School at Bagawanthalawa area had been critically injured with serious burn injuries and hospitalized after her skirt got caught to the fire while at home this evening (11).
The school girl"s skirt caught fire while she was near a hearth at kitchen and due to her screem ,residents of the area arrived at the scene and doused the fire .The injured girl was admitted to the Bagawanthalawa Provincial Hospital for treatment .
The victim and her sister were at home at the time of the incident and their father working in the garden it has been revealed.

Navy Have Arrested Three Persons With 118 Kilo Grammes Of Kerala CANNABIS
Sri lanka Navy have arrested three
Persons with 118 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in possession while transporting the stock of Cannabis to Sri Lanka from a Boat yesterday (10).
The suspects who are residents of Jaffna of the ages 29-32 year had purchased the stock of Kerala Cannabis from Indian Drug Smugglers and attempted to smuggle in to Sri Lanka according to Navy.
The estimated value of the stock of Kerala Cannabis taken in to custody in possession of the suspects is around Rs.10.5 Million .
Navy have handed over the suspects to Kankasanthurai Police for further investigations. They are due to be produced before Mallakam Magistrate Court.

A 18 Year Old Student Has Drowned In Kelaniya River

Collage ,Passara has drowned while bathing in Kelani River yesterday (10).
The drowned Srudent who had accompanied a Team of Volleyball players of his school to the All Ceylon School Volleyball Championships held at Ruwanwella,Rajasinghe Collage ,has drowned while bathing in the river during the Championships.
Police are conducting investigations over the incident.

Jayasundara has today (11)ordered the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)to investigate on the complaint over US Dollars 5.5 million fraud occurred at the Accounts section of Sri Lanka Cricket .
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sri Lanka Cricket Ashley De Silva has made a complaint on the fraud activity to the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) yesterday (10).
According to the complaint the head of the Accounts Section of Sri Lanka Cricket had attempted to credit US Dollars 5.5 million received from a Television Channal to Sri Lanka Cricket over telecasting rights of forthcoming Sri Lanka -England cricket series, to his account .
The CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket has made the complaint to the FCID as per the instructions of Sports Minister Faizer Musthapha.

More Than Thirty Houses Partially Damaged In Anuradhapura Due To Strong Winds
More than 30 houses had been partially damaged and few houses were fully damaged due to a strong winds blown away across Anuradhapura District last evening (10) according to Disaster Management Center.
Accordingly several houses in Degan Halmillawa,-Kahatagasdigiliya Anuradhapura area had been damaged and the residents of these houses were moved to safe places ,the Center has stated .
However no casualty has been reported due to the incident .
Tree falls,Road blocks ,Water supply and Electricity cuts had been reported from several areas in Anuradhapura as a result of the strong winds prevailed in yesterday .
