President Has Refused A Cabinet Paper Which Aims To Get Private Lawyers With Government Expenses For The Ministers

President Maithripala Sirisena has
refused to accept a Cabinet Memorandum submitted by Minister Malik Samarawikrame to the Cabinet on  hiring  private lawyers with  government expenses behalf of the Government Ministers who are facing Human Rights violations cases at the Supreme Court.

As Government Ministers are able to get the assistance of Government Lawyers when there is a Human rights violation case against them filed at Supreme Court ,There's no need to hire Private Lawyers for the Minister's with government expenses the President has stated during the Cabinet Meeting held today (07).

A Land Owner Had Recovered A Stock Of Ammunition In A Deserted Land

A land owner had recovered a stock of
1720  T-56 ammunitions buried in a deserted land at Munamaduwa area in Kokeliya ,Vavuniya according to reports.

The Land owner had been recovered the stock of Ammunition while cleaning the Land area and Vavuniya Police have taken in to custody the stock of decaying Ammunition after being informed by the Land owner.

The stock is due to be defused  as per a court order.

A 34 Year Old Female Was Shot And Killed At Kadawatha

A 34 year old female was killed due to a
gun shooting incident at Gonahena Junction in Kadawatha area today (07)according to Police.

An unidentified Gunmen arrived in from a Motorcycle had shot at the female who was a suspect of her Former Husband's murder it has been revealed. The critically injured female had succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to the Ragama Teaching Hospital.

The deceased was shot by the Gunmen while she was returning her Home by a Motorcycle after attending the court case against her at Mahara Magistrate Court.

Her killers had left the Motorcycle they have arrived in at a road in Ranmuthugala area it has been reported.The female was a resident of Ranmuthugala in Kadawatha area.
