A Person Was Arrested With A Illegal Stock Of "Diazepham" At The Airport
A 39 year old person had been arrested
by the Airport Customs officials while attempting to illegally export a stock of 120,000 medicinal tablets "Diazepham " to United Kingdom via a sub -agent.
The suspect who is a resident of Welllawatte area had handed over the stock of medicinal tablets to a Private courier company to export them it has been revealed.
The stock of "Diazepham"tablets which had been taken in to custody cannot be issued to patients without a doctors prescription and the stock is worth around Rs.120,000.
Airport Customs are conducting an investigations over the incident.

Four Persons Interdicted Over The Train Collision At Polgahawela
Authorities have taken steps to interdict
four persons attached to the Colombo-Rambukkana Bound Train which collided with a Train which was parked due to a breakdown at Pana Liya near Polgahawela Train station last evening (06) by injuring 32 passangers as they have found guilty over the incident.
Accordingly The Engine Driver,Assistant Driver ,Chief Guard and Assistant Guard of the Colombo-Rambukkana bound 164 Train had been interdicted over the incident.
Due to the Collision of Two Trains around 32 Passangers had been injured and admitted to Polgahawela ,Kurunagala Teaching and Rambukkana Hospitals.

A Jewelry Shop Owner Was Killed Due To A Fuel Bowser-Motorcycle Collision
A 45 year old Motorcyclist who was a
Jewelry Shop owner was killed and his 18 year old daughter had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Motorcycle they were riding in colliding with a fuel Bowser last evening (06)at Kopai area in Jaffna.
The critically injured had been admitted to Jaffna Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Kopai Police havery arrested the Fuel Bowser driver over the incident.

A Railway Line Got Damaged Due To The Train Collision At Polgahawela Return To Normalcy-Night Mail Train Was Cancelled Last Night
The Night Mail Train travelling from
Colombo Fort to Badulla had been cancelled last night (06)due to the Train Collision at PanaLiya in Polgahawela last evening.
However trains will run as usual today (07) on one Railway line that was damaged due to the Accident as it got repaired now The Railway Department has announced.
The second Railway Line got damaged due to the Accident will be back to normalcy in the course of today it has been stated.
Around 32 Train Passangers were injured and hospitalized due to a Collision among Two Trains last evening .The injured were admitted to Polgahawela and Kurunagala Teaching hospitals.
Authorities are currently questioning the two Train Drivers regarding the incident.
