A Store In Hungama Contains Contaminated SALT Had Been Sealed l

The Public Health Inspectors (PHI)attached to a Ambanthota MOH Office had sealed a private Store at Hungama Town over attempting to issue a stock of Salt unfit for human consumption to the market today (05).


The stock of Salt recovered from the store was foind as contaminated and the stock was taken in to custody by the PHI's while attempting to load it to a Lorry.

The sealed store was previously used as a Salt Manufacturing Plant it has been revealed.

A Person Was Shot And Killed By Two Gunmen

A 65 year old Person had been killed

due to a gun shooting incident opposite  a shop at Yatiyana junction this evening(05).

The deceased who was a resident of Minuwangoda area had been shot and killed by two unidentified gunmen arrived in by a Motorcycle according to Police.

The reason behind the killing has not yet been revealed.

A Person Was Arrested While Attempting To Fly To Belgium With A Fake Passport

A Jaffna resident had been arrested

today (05) by the Immigration and Emigration officials while attempting to fly to Belgium with a Fraudulent Malaysian passport at the Katunayake, Bandaranaike International Airport .

The suspect who had returned to the Island from Singapore this morning had been arrested  while attempting to fly to Belgium from the fake passport it has been revealed.

During the questioning the suspect has revealed that he had collected the passport at a Plane which he travelled..

A 15 Year Old Student Had Drowned While Bathing In Mamandala Canal

A 15 year old student had died after

drowning in Mamandala Canal at Ambalanthota,Hambanthota this noon (05)while bathing there.

The deceased student who was a resident of Dehigahalanda at Ambalanthota had been drowned while bathing with few others sources have said.
