There Will Be No Salary Hike For MP's -President Maithripala Sirisena
There will be no salary hike for MP's
and Minister's of the country at this moment and will not allow to pass any proposal regarding such a salary hike according to President Maithripala Sirisena.
Addressing a Public Rally held in Polonnaruwa this evening (04) President has stated that as a President he is receiving Rs.95,000 per month .But a Parliamentarian is receiving more than his salary per month .The Monthly salary of a MP is around Rs.400,000 including allowances he has stressed.

A Principal Was Arrested Over Sexually Molesting A Female Student
A Principal attached to Government
Tamil Mixed School at Mullikulam in Mannar had been arrested yesterday (03)by the National Child Protection Authority officials over sexually molesting a 15 year old female student of the school.
The incident occurred at the Principal's Rest Room of the School last December according to reports.
The suspected Principal had been arrested after recording statement from the School staff including teachers it has been reported.
He is due to be produced before Mannar Magistrate Court.

Two Persons Were Arrested While Attempting To Sell Two Elephant Tusks
Two persons had been arrested by the
Special Police Task Force Personal in KilinochchI over attempting to sell two highly valued huge Elephant Tusks at Kanagarayankulama area in Vavuniya last evening (03).
The two suspects who are residents of Paranthan and Kanagarayankulama areas had been arrested while attempting to sell 48" and 54" inch long Elephant Tusks it has been revealed.They had attempted to sell them by hiding .
The two suspects were handed over to the Kanaganarayankulam Police and they are due to be produced before Vavuniya Magistrate Court.
