Another Two Officers Attached To Perpetual Tresuries Had Been Arrested Over Central Bank Bond Scam Issue

The Chief Sales Officer of the Perpetual
Tresuries Limited which related to the Central Bank Bond Scam Thilina Salgadu and Chief Technical Officer Of it Sachitra Devathanthri have been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over deleting the reports of Telephone  Conversations and voice cuts received during the Bond Scam issue.

The two suspects had been released on two surety bails of Rs.300,000 each after being produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne this evening. Fort Magistrate has ordered the suspects to hand over their passports to the court after imposing a travel ban on them.

The senior Deputy Solicitor General Haripriya Jayasundara had been informed the Court this evening that the two suspects are being expected to use as state witnesses during the Bond Scam issue case.

Meanwhile The Imprisoned  owner of the Perpetual Tresuries Arjun Aloysius and Chief Executive Officer Kasun Palisena who are the main suspects of the Bond Scam have been remanded until 09 th of August by the Colombo Fort Magistrate.

Professor colvin gunaratne Had Been Resigned From Sri Lanka Medical Council

The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) Professor Colvin Guna ratna had been resigned from the Chairman post of the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) with immediate effect today (02 )due to the lapses of Sri Lanka Medical Ordinance.

Professor Gunaratna who was appointed as the Chairman of SLMC on 02 nd of October last year (2017) has submitted a long letter to the Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne giving reasons which lead to his resignation  it has been reported.

He was appointed to the Post following the retirement of Professor Carlo Fonseka who held the post for five and half years on 30 the of June last year.

More Than 500 Acres Of Land At Punagala Reserve Destroyed Due To A Fire

More than 500 acres of land belonging


to punagala Mountain Reserve at Beragala , Wellawaya  had been destroyed   due to a sudden huge fire erupted in the Reserve last evening (01).

The fire is still spreading fast due to the strong winds and dry weather prevailing in the area it has been reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
