Two Persons Were Hospitalized Due To A Bus-Fuel Bowser Collision

Two persons have been injured and hospitalized due to a Sri Lanka Transport Board Bus (SLTB) -Fuel Bowser Collision at Karapitiya area last night (26).


The injured Vehicle Assistant of the Fuel Bowser and the conductor of the SLTB Bus who was schoked due to the incident had been admitted to the Kalpitiya District Hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred when the Fuel Bowser colliding with a parked SLTB  Bus at Kalpitiya last night.The Bus drifted away and crashed in to a nearby lamp post.The conductor of the Bus was sleeping in the Bus at that time it has been revealed.

The incident occurred as the driver of the Fuel Bowser fallen a sleep while driving according to the Police.

A Person Has Died After Falling Sick When Attempting To Climb A Tree To Protect From.A Wild Elephant

A 59 year old person has died due to a Respiratory Difficulty  occurred when attempting to climb a tree to protect from a Wild Elephant at 9 th post in Gonnoruwa ,Hambanthota last night (25 ).

The deceased along with few others were near a herd of Cattle when a Wild Elephant arrived in the scene and few others had managed to climb a nearby tree and the deceased had fallen sick while attempting to climb the same  tree it has been revealed.

The body of the deceased had been sent to the Hambanthota Hospital for the post mortem.
