A Person Has Died After Falling Sick When Attempting To Climb A Tree To Protect From.A Wild Elephant

A 59 year old person has died due to a Respiratory Difficulty  occurred when attempting to climb a tree to protect from a Wild Elephant at 9 th post in Gonnoruwa ,Hambanthota last night (25 ).

The deceased along with few others were near a herd of Cattle when a Wild Elephant arrived in the scene and few others had managed to climb a nearby tree and the deceased had fallen sick while attempting to climb the same  tree it has been revealed.

The body of the deceased had been sent to the Hambanthota Hospital for the post mortem. 

A Special Tax To Be Introduced For White Flour

A special Tax will be imposed on White Flour in near future to protect local Rice Farmers and the excessive Rice production of the country according to Minister Of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera.

Special Taxes will also be introduced to Big Anions,Potatoes and Fruits to protect local farmers the Minister has stressed during a Media Briefing Held in Colombo today (26).

Government has spend a large amount of Money to import wheet which used to make White Flour he has stated.

A Sudden Two Hour Strike Of Train Employees Cancelled Many Train Journeys

Many Train Journeys had been cancelled and Train Passangers have been affected due to a two hour sudden strike launched by the Railway Workers including Train drivers,Station Masters and dmins attached to the Railways Department from 2 p.m to 4 p.m today (26).

Due to the strike a ,tense situation arose  at Train Stations in Maradona, Ragama and Colombo Fort as the Passangers got angry and damaged public properties .

The sudden strike had been launched against the State Minister Dr.Harsha De  Silva's threats made against  train employees and Security officers who are involved in building a security fence at a land belonging to the Railways Department at Maradana .

The strike was concluded at 4 p.m.
