A Heavy Traffic Had Been Reported In Bambalapitiya Due To A Motor Car Fire

A heavy traffic had been prevailed in

for hours due to a sudden fire erupted in a Motor Car out side of  Queens Cafe in R.A De Mel Road ,Colombo-04 (Bambala pitiya)  this evening(23).

As the fire services Department officials in Colombo Municipal Council not able to reach the place in time due to the traffic ,The fire service Drpartment in Wellawatte was informed to send the Fire trucks to douse the fire .

The fire was doused and no casualties have been reported due to it according to Police.

The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.Police have controlled  the traffic in the area .

A Female Was Killed Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

A 38 year old female was killed due to a
Wild Elephant attack at Thambalawewa Reserve in Sinha Udagama,Minneriya yesterday(22).

The critically injured female who was a resident of Jayanthipura in Thambalawewa had succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital.

A Baby Elephant With A Rare Disabilty Had Been Found In Hambanthota

A disabled Baby Elephant around one year old with walking difficulties had been found in a jungle area at Pahala Mattala in Hambanthota by the Wild Officers during an Elephant Mission launched by the Wild Life Department to chase away Wild Elephants to a reserve it has been reported.

The Baby Elephant who is a rare of it's kind had been taken to Udawalawe "Elephant Orphanage "Ath Athuru Sevana"  and currently receiving treatment.

According to the Veterinary Surgeons there is s possibility of recovering the Baby Elephants of such kind if they are fed with mother's milk.

The discovered Baby Elephant have a walking difficulty in his front legs according to reports.
