Three Persons Have Been Arrested With 50 Barrels Of "Ethanol"
Three persons have been arrested by
the Excise Department Officials while with 50 Barrels of "Ethanol" in possession at Weligampitiya in Ja Ela and Makandura ateas last night(20).
Excise Department Officials had first arrested the suspects along with 15 Barrels of "Ethanol" and after questioning them another 35 Barrels had been taken in to custody at Makandura area .A Container Truck used to transport these Barrels too have been taken in to custody by the officials during the raid.
The estimated value of the "Ethanol"taken in to custody is around Rs.10.3 million according to reports.
A businessman who is purchasing the Confiscated stocks of Ethanol had transported this stock of Ethanol it has been reported.The stock is not in condition for human consumption.

arrested two persons with 2.69 Kilo Grammes of Narcotic believes to be Heroin at Evevalampattu area in Serunuwara this evening(21).
The two suspects of the ages 42 and 46 years old are residents of Evevalampattu and Karakamalai areas it has been revealed.
They were handed over to the Serunuwara Police station for further investigations.
