Two Sri Lankan Nationals And An Indian National.Were Arrested While Attempting To Smuggle Foreign Currency Notes
Two Sri Lankan Nationals and an Indian National have been arrested by the Airport Customs officers while attempting to smuggle Rs.40.8 million worth foreign currency notes to Singapore illegally at the Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport last morning(13).
The three suspects had attempted to smuggle Rs.40.8 million worth Euros,US Dollars,Qatari Riyals and Saudi Riyal notes it has been revealed.They were arrested on their arrival at the Airport to board a Sri Lankan Airlines flight UL-306 .
The two Sri Lankan suspects are 40 and 45 year old residents of Colombo and Kuliyapitiya respectively and the Indian National is a 40 year old person according to Customs.
Airport Customs officers are Conducting an investigations over the incident.

A Catholic Father Was Killed Due To A Road Accident
A 35 year old Catholic Father was killed after the Motorcycle he was riding in veering off the road and colliding with a wall as he was unable to control the Motorcycle due to suffering a cardiac arrest ,,near the Senanayake Collage on Puttalam-Madampe main road .
The deceased father was a assistany mission controller of Saint Sebastian Church in Madampe area it has been revealed.
