Police Have Arrested A Police Officer Over Illegally Transporting Cattle From A Cab
Mulliyaveli Police have arrested a
Police officer attached to the Pudukudirippu Police station while illegally transporting six Cattle from Mulathivu to Trincomalee by a Cab at Mulliyaveli area in Mulathivu last night(10).
Another two persons who had assisted the Police Officer to transport the Cattle have fled away from the scene at the time of the incident it has been revealed.
The suspected Police Officer ,Six cattle and the Cab taken in to custody by the Police are due to be produced before the Mulathivu Magistrate Court.Mulliyaweli Police are conducting an investigations to arrest the two persons who had fled away from the scene.

CID Arrested Two Persons With 9.900 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin
The Criminal Investigations
Department(CID) officers have today(11)arrested two persons with 9.900 Kilo Grammes of Heroin hidden in 22 paddy bags at a Paddy Mill in Mavadichchen area in Seruwawila area.
The estimated value of the Haul of Heroin taken in to custody is around Rs.120 million it has been revealed.
The suspects are residents of Seruwawila area of the ages 34 and 41 years old according to reports.

Nearly 265 Houses In Colombo District Have Been Badly Damaged Due To Strong Winds
Many damaged houses are located in Homagama area and around 75 houses in Kurunduwatte-Megoda too were damaged due to strong winds the Center has stated.Houses in Dehiwala and Maharagama too have been damaged due to the winds.
The roofs and walls of houses located in many areas in Colombo have been severely damaged due to the strong winds it has been revealed.
Meanwhile Meteorology Department has stated that strong winds will continue in many districts including Western ,Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces in coming days as well.
A Buddhist Monk Was Arrested And Remanded Over Strangling To Death A Police Officer
A Buddhist Monk attached to the Gallanda Temple in Ratnapura District was arrested and remanded until 25 th of July over strangling to death a Police officer attached to the Minor Complaints Unit of the Ratnapura Police.
The suspected Buddhist Monk was arrested by the Police yesterday(10) over the killing of a Police Sergant who went to conduct an inquiry against the Monk over a case.
The Arrested Monk was remanded until 25 th of July by the Ratnapura Magistrate Court after being produced before the court.
The deceased Police Officer was strangled to death by the Monk after he went to question the Monk to the temple on a case against him.
Meanwhile the deceased Police Sergeant has been promoted to the rank of Inspector of Police as per the instructions of Inspector General Of Police Pujitha Jayasundare.
