Eleven Crew Members Of A Merchant Ship Met With An Accident Have Been Rescued By The Navy
Sri Lanka Navy have today(26) rescued eleven crew members including a Captian of a Merchant ship sailed under the "Dominica"flag and met with an accident in a sea area 11 nautical miles from Colombo Harbor.
Navy have rescued the 11 crew members of the Ship including 10 Sri Lankans with the Ship Captain and a Indonesian National by using two fighter boats.

A Person Was Arrested While Attempting To Smuggle A Stock Of "Wallapatta"
Airport Customs have arrested a 33 year old person while attempting to smuggle 18.200 Kilo grammes of an expensive "Wallapatta"(Gyrinops Walla)illegally to Dubai at the Katunayake Bandaeanaike International Airport today(26).
The estimated value of the stock of "Wallapatta"taken in to custody by the Airport Customs in possession of the suspect is around Rs.1.26 million it has been revealed.
The suspect is a resident of Kuruwita,Ratnapura.

Postal Trade Unions Have Temporarily Suspended The Postal Strike
Postal Workers Trade Union Alliance had suspended the 16 day old Strike temporarily with effect from midnight tonight(26) after holding discussions with Minister of Postal and Muslim Affairs A.H.Haleem and the Salary Commission over their demands.
