Army Corporal Was Injured Due To A Gun Shooting Incident

An Army Corporal was injured and hospitalized after a Group of an unidentified persons arrived in a Motorcycle and a Trishaw had shot him this morning (25) at Chakkindarama Road in Ratmalana.

The injured Corporal was admitted to the South Colombo (Kalubowila)ngs to a Army Lieutenant Colonel .

Mount Lavinia Police are investigating over the incident.

Four Persons Arrested Over The Killing Of A Leopard Have Been Remanded

The four persons arrested last night (24)  over the brutal killing of a rare species of Leopard in Ambalkulam ,Kilinochchi  last week have been remanded until 29th of June by the Kilinochchi Magistrate Court today (25).

The four suspects were remanded after being produced before the Kilinochchi Magistrate Court today.The suspects are residents of Ambalkulam and Dhrampuram villages.

Another two persons arrested over the killing of the Leopard have been remanded until 29th of June by the Magistrate yesterday (24).

A Female Was Killed Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

A 55 year old Female was killed due to a Wild Elephant attack at Raswehera area in Galgamuwa this morning (25) it has been reported.

The deceased had faced this incident while returning home after visiting a relatives house at Pothanegama in Galgamuwa area. 

Several people lost their lives during past weeks due to Wild Elephant attacks as a result of the ongoing Human-Elephant conflict.
